Lilac, anise and turquoise around a dark core
The pastel shades of this small 16 mm marble coil around an almost black core, visible through the transparent glass. A series of lilac rings fills the middle. On one side, fine anise yellow lines stand out against the dark background, while on the other a turquoise thread winds in tight loops. The eye can follow each coil all the way to the core.
At the bottom of an antique stemmed glass
Slipped into the bottom of an antique stemmed glass, it becomes a small display piece for a sideboard or a dresser. The dark core brings out the softness of the pastels, especially when daylight passes through the glass.
