A blue flower with a yellow and red core
In this 16 mm marble in Bohemian glass, a flower with rounded petals opens around a small yellow and red core. Its light blue petals stand out against a deeper blue background that fills almost the whole marble. In places, the glass becomes transparent again and lets the light in.
The only warm spot in all this blue
The core of the flower is the only touch of warm colour in the marble: this yellow and red dot catches the eye before the petals and serves as a reference point for finding the flower in the glass. Tiny air bubbles, held within the glass, punctuate the blue around it.
